Thomas Spake began working with glass in 1994, and received his B.A. in glass & sculpture from Centre College. Upon graduation he served as Artist in Residence at the Appalachian Center for Crafts. He then moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to establish Thomas Spake Studios, which
focuses on original hand blown glass, education through teaching workshops and demonstrating as well as creating site specific sculpture for outdoor public spaces.
