“Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much, performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”

 -Vincent Van Gogh

The element that fascinates Denia most about art, is the ephemeral connection made with the viewer, and the diverse responses created within each of us.  Her work combines a fearless use of color with a heavy dose of expressionism, and often includes inscriptions and interesting textures, as well as a component of collage to boost the dynamic energy of the piece.

Denia is a locally grown artist, and has been sharing her love of art with children in area schools for ten years.  The main goal of her program is to help her students envision their own infinite possibilities, using the most powerful tool in any field of study ~ their imagination. She feels it is an honor to be teaching at Webb Lower School, and to be a part of ArtXtravaganza.  Denia values creative endeavors of any kind, and is very active in the local theatrical community.  In her spare time, Denia stays busy singing in a rock band, The Traffic Jam, and also performing with a smaller music montage group known as XO.
